very clean. Looks like a promising resource for the uninitiated JT rider. Thank you for taking the initiative. Now if only we could get the JT MTB weekend back.

I agree... MTB Weekend should be resurrected. I'm sure it's more work than any of us realize, but it's worth a shot. Lath??????

It's definitely going to be a PITA. If it were easy, it would still be going and Dave Bucher's successor would be a happy man. Until the town wants it back, it won't be happening at it's previous venue. There's been banter about possibly getting a small gathering at one of the private campgrounds in the area but so far, nothing concrete.

    Very Nice!

Thanks very much for your work and sharing this information with all. Will be trying a few of the outlined routes soon.
There are two paths you can go by but in the long run........

    Well, we'll see about that...
The lake has really stepped up in the last year with trail signs and maintenance, they might be ready to admit their mistake regarding MBW soon. But, this is going to take a lot of work to get it back and at anywhere near the old levels. Any takers?

I miss JT. I went to the last 7 years and I have not been there since the last MBW. I will be making a trip this year, probably camp overnight somehwere. I'm hoping to get a group from our new bike club up there.

The maps will really help. Thanks.
I can fix it............... my dad has an awesome set of tools

    Site Updated- all trails clear

I've been updating the site with trail conditions, which seem to change daily. Right now everything should be open and free of snow and water. See the site for details, and subscribe to the RSS feed for automatic updates. I've also added some links to other info about Jim Thorpe, the Opera House has some great shows coming up, come up for a ride and stay for a show. I also recommend checking out our new farm-to-table restaurant "Flow", up Broadway at the CCCP building.

We've had over 1200 hits to the site this week and 250 maps downloaded! So I expect to see some more people out on the trails this year. I'll be posting details on a couple trailwork days soon, mostly the trails just need the usual branches cleared. If you are out riding please clear what you can, but leave downed logs that can be ridden over, they help keep quads off the trails.

I've also added a how-to on making your own trail maps to the "Maps" page.

    Enjoy.
