Mt Carmel / Pottsville ride spots

Are there any ride spots around Mt Carmel or Pottsville (besides the Yuengling brewery parking lot)?
More importantly, are the spots rideable?
I'll be in the area next week and will be looking to do some riding.
    Thanks in advance,
    Dan

Roaring Creek --> About five miles outside MTC. Although this may be the last time I point anyone to this area, as I'd prefer it remain unknown and little used. Maybe I'll point them to scenic Locust Gap instead.

Frackville... --> Read about Burma Road in this thread.

Frackville to Pottsville --> From the trail review section.

    Mount Carmel...

Most of the riding is now officially inside the Wiser (?sp) State Forest around the Roaring Creek Watershed. Best starting point is about 1/2 mile north of the tiny town of Aristes (about 7 miles east of MC) on route 42 heading north. Just outside of Aristes (1/2 mile) there is a State Forrest entrace/parking area on the right of 42 heading north. No maps though. Some of the single track starts right from the parking lot and loops around. Most is pretty new. Most is very good but needs some breaking in. The best riding is on the other side of 42 (west side) and is pretty tough to find. The Highridge Trail is the best trail we have (IMO). Not a whole lot of long climbs but ride it from end to end quickly and it's a workout. The western most section of that trail extends eastward all the way over to route 54 by natalie. That last few miles is newer but is pretty well grooved in and ready to go.

I plan on riding this weekend as I'll be back visiting my hometown of MC for Easter.

At least two of us are suppose to meet at the Wiser entrance just north of Aristes on route 42. It's suppose to be between 3 and 3:30pm Sat (and likely sometime Sunday). I'll try to repost on Saturday late am to confirm.

    All are more than welcome.

    Couldn't make the post...

Sorry, couldn't get to a computer to confirm. I'm going to try to ride again tomorrow, Sunday, but probably early. Around 9am.

    From Bloom....

Head south on 42 toward Aristes. About 1/2 mile before you come to that little town there is a dirt road off to the left that dumps directly into the parking lot.

Problem is, only one of several trails start from the parking lot (red dot). That one is easy to follow but it will be very tough to find the rest without a guide.

Most of the good stuff starts about 1 mile into the woods off the other side of 42.

I may be back next weekend.
