Cool-blue Rhythm Moon Lakes annual trail cleanup day 10/13/13 Sunday

Moon Lakes annual trail cleanup day 10/13/13 is here again...

...this Sunday, 10am, meet at the main gate and, decide on a work plan, to leaf blow/rake our beloved trails. A few hours with lots of helpers will make it go fast!

Ride after, and cook some dogs, and enjoy beverages down by the lake in the pavilion. Pot luck, bring what ever you have to share with your riding buddies!

    Please spread the word
Moon lakes trails thank you all

I will be there. I'm sure the wind and rain on Monday knocked a good amount of leaves down, so the trails probably are in need of clearing. Should be a fun day. Hopefully we will se a good size crew there.

A thank you goes out to the small group of people who came out Sunday to Moon Lake to clear trails. Turn out may have been low, but effort was high. I'm not sure what trails are still not done but I'm pretty sure that most are clear. Great job !

Got everything done but Screamer, Eagle, NFS, 2nd half of 5858 and Salamander. I would say 90% or so is done. Thanks to those that helped out..

5 1/2 hours of leaf blowing......I'm still sore!
Hopefully on the second go round we can get a better turn out.

Sorry mtbiker64 and I couldnt make sunday's trail clean up. We were in WV for my niece's birthday party. We are planning to head up saturday and work on the ramps on JKE and see what other trails need to be cleared. And get a ride in after. Thanks to those who did show up to help out on sunday.

I was there yesterday and saw that the ramp on JKE was repaired. It looks good. Thanks to whoever got it done.

I had heard that the ramp was out, thats great that it was repaired so fast.
A lot of the wood features are in need of some repair, the big ramp on the Dark comes to mind, I think there are several cracked boards on that now, the ramp overs on the lower section of T-Rex 2 are falling apart.
The lounge area on Ledgeview needs some love.
A good cordless drill and sawsall are needed (I have neither) , that way the boards can be screwed in instead of nailing.

FYI : The ramp between the tress on JKE is fixed again. Got busted when bikergirl69 went to go up it and the bottom few boards busted right in the middle. Naturally she went OTB. We replaced several other that were a little weak. If anyone knows of any other ramps that need help, please post and I'll try to get them fixed.
    LOVE THE RIDE!

    Thanks for fixing the ramp
Sucks about her going over the bars that must have been a bad one, downhill section between trees....OUCH!

I know the last bridge going out of The Dark backwards is falling apart, and the big ramp over a couple boards on the bottm are breaking.
First rampover on Ledgeview 2 lower section needs some love.
The lounge area on Ledgeview needs a lot of love.

Thanks, the bridge on Farm Road is weak, all it needs is boards put right on top of the plywood, the frame is aluminum and is strong

    Thanks again
