There are some big trees still down in the middle of the lower section of The Edge that will require a chainsaw, I leaf blew and trimmed out what I could.

    Good job!

I finally get a day at mOOn working trails, 7 hours worth!

Slide trail had way too many trees to cut out so rerouting is the way besides it needed a face lift.

I think it is more interesting this way, although not open yet but will be soon!

    Ride da new mOOn!

    I'll second that....

Thanks very much Lee for all the work you have done as well as organized...good seeing you Saturday on "Slide".....we ended up having a great ride...we connected with DirtRider on "8" and later he showed us a new way down to the circle from the campground....got some pictures of the stone work we did on Screamer....and got a chance to ride it....still pretty wet and muddy there but you can get through now....KuhlCat and I are going to do some armoring at the intersection of "What" and "Natures Way 2" on Monday starting at 9am .....then a ride...

    Good job!

    Thanks guys...

... I do the work cause I like to see everyone out on the trails having fun and it's really great to be part of a group that likes to get stuff done so "all" can enjoy!

Back at all of you with a big thanks for doing work in your areas to make trails everywhere great!

We're pretty lucky around these parts...

On the list: Plan B has trees down as I rode the first part of NFS and it to has a few down, will cut them out soon, and I still didn't get to lower NFS of lower 5858.

No problem Jeff. If we don't cut the tree out, I can always build a bridge over it. I know how much you like the one on the dark !

... make 177 feet long with a 1 degree incline, railings, anti skid traction treatment. a traffic light, a roof over it, and charge a tax to cross it!

    No good

    Nothing is safe...

... one of our fav items the teeter-totter that Chriffer built has been attacked and cracked by a mean ol tree that fell on it. Needs new runners on the sides and a few top boards need to be reattached, looks like a good winter project for someone?

    Good job!

    Well...

...I guess it's not really damage, but just as good a place as any to list work at da mOOn: So it's that time of year to blow leaves off the trails, yes we are all nuts but we like to be all nuts, better than NO NUTS... LOL

I will use the same format as the hurricane damage and some trails will still require tree removal as stuff continues to fall from all the wet weather, but we have a great crew(take a bow) and we will continue to get stuff open and keep it open for all to enjoy(if your interested in helping please join us) nepmtba@yahoo.com or post here on MTBR...

...no one expects, anyone to go out a buy a leaf blower to do this, but if ya have one and are willing to bring it, grerat! Leave blowers are best, but a good ol leaf rake will work also. Feel free to pick a trail and have at it just post up here on MTBR your work completed and I will update the list!

Thanks to all who have done work and to those who will join us!

    Good job!

More progress at mOOn work today...

... cut trees out on SR2 all the way to the old stone steps, they are huge and have to be rolled out of the way next time we have 3 or more riders. From the old stone steps there still trees down, I'll get them next time! Then the SR2 will be open.

There is now an entrance from the intersection of Eagle and 8 by the TTS triangle. You can access 8.3 from there. Tuned flow on 8 by removing or modifying log overs, and mini stumps/roots and yes the steep ramp on 8.3 on the uphill now has 3 lines, none of them are easy, you really didn't think I would make a easy line there did ya?... LOL

I'm in the process of restoring the old/easy line on Ledgeview after the ledge up ramp. Trees are cut must be removed.

Work continues and we need another work day to get "ALL" the trails leave free! Maybe the snow will hide all the leaves?

    You did?...

... never know what happens when someone gets a hold of a chainsaw, must be chainsaw graffiti... LOL

Brings new meaning to the words: "sig line"

I think Kuhlkat did it, but that's just between you and I.

If I got my hands on that chainsaw, I would be carving my own name all over the place !!
BTW- We are going to have to get a crew together again soon. The heavy snow snapped branches everywhere. Lots of debris on the trails.

Just give me a heads up, I managed to twist and snap the derailleur cage in 2 spots, and destroyed another derailleur hanger so I should have some downtime that can be best spent in the woods.
