    Moon FR trails...........

    .........hey, we're gonna hit the Moon tomorrow morning leaving Danville/Bloomsburg around 9:30 - 10:00. F.I.P. at the Moon around 11:30. Can someone tell us how to get to the freeride trails from the main lot? Or do we need to park somewhere else? I know it's short notice, but any of you Moon regulars are welcome to join in on the off chance you've got nothing else going on on a Thursday.

    nankerphelge;

    Yes, At the water tank is the beginning of NFS. Ride about 50 feet look left at the second rock outcrop and you will notice a drop about 2 feet. This is the beginning of the Free Ride. It's not open yet so please don't go bombing down it as it "IS" blocked off lower down the trail. But, you can look around and ride sections of it. Of course you'll have to push back up until it's completed to Plan B trail where you can make a loop of it and ride it back up.

    I'm sure there will be pics
    You guys are the king of Pics!

    Enjoy!

    Good job! Wow, that is some crazy shizzit................

    ...................major, major props dudes. Dayum!
    So, there we were tooling along NFS and of course we blow right by it, thinking we're in the wrong place or whatnot and we come to where NFS (Not For Sissies???) isn't leaf blown any more. We turned around and pretty much had given up and figured we'd just go ride t-rex or screamer or maybe even something we'd never tried before. We stopped to take some pictures on some cool looking rocks, and I look over and lo and behold - look what we just stumbled across! Duh. I don't know how we missed it the first time through. I did the first natural rock drop at the beginning there, and was totally blown away at what awaited around the corner. Wow! I'll be back for the rest some other time when I have more protection - and I don't mean condoms. We walked all the way down to the end from there and I gotta tell ya, you guys got some stuff there that already that scares the crap outta me. It looks great and we very amazed with the construction. All the wood seemed solid and we were impressed with the way it should all flow together when finished. The big drop before the berm and the wooden kicker/gap - what is that - like 12 feet or so? Like I said, definitely not anything to try with nothing more than a dirt jump helmet protecting my old bones. We'll be back, though......................

    nankerphelge, if you like the stuff at the Moon you'd probably like what we have at Mountain Top. Right now its covered in fallen timber but we plan to resurrect in the spring.

    Finius, great vid! We will definitely have to check that out come springtime. Our local shuttle trails are great, but it's all natural - rock drops and stuff - very little man made stuff. I'll have to take some pix and vids this sunday when we hit them and post them up for you guys. Maybe we could do some kind of exchange program in the spring.

    In the spring we'll definitely do a "you show us yours and we'll show you ours type of thing". We're about 1 hour 15 mins. apart.
