I guess the lack of snow opened it up to ATVs?

There is a winter and summer ATV season in Michaux. I guess they want to keep them and hunters apart. Summer season is Memorial Day to Labor Day if I recall. You see plenty of ATVers out there in February when there's snow on the ground as well. From what I remember, more in winter than summer.

    I have.

I rode up the hill at Bendersville Road one day to the ATV trailhead at the top of the hill. The regular trails were too deep with snow to ride so I thought maybe the ATV's had packed it down. They had.

I rode way out into the trails in snow & ice and had a blast. When I was done I rode back down the hill to Pine Grove only to realize that I left my pack with my wallet & keys out on the trail. I had taken it off when I took a break. Got a double ride that day.

    A pic from that day...

Yeah you can ride all year round, you just have to be careful of ATVs on the ATV trails. Just like MTBers, most of them are nice and will let you by, but a small percentage are a**holes.

Sometime it could be interesting to ride there in snow. I've always gotten a kick out of racing there in dry heat and cold rain but never done snow. I'd imagine rock gardens get interesting...

Snow smooths out the rocks, but also makes the edges very slippery.
