Jay Peak Easter Sunday....the end of the vaca...

Sunday (Easter): Last day at Jay and end of a great ski vacation. Well we got up early after hearing some of our neighbors leaving for the early mass at the top of the tram, 5:15am or so. Packed all of our stuff except a change of clothes and decided to get some last runs in prior to the drive home. The sun came up and it was pretty calm in comparison to the last few days, temps around 7 degrees. Got out at 7:45am and waited for the lift to open at 8 am (surprisingly we were not alone, ;there were maybe 15 people by the time the lifts opened.) We got the first chair! Skied over to the tram and were the 10th, 11th, and 13th person in line. Whisked to the top we were greeted by our first day of actually seeing all of the mountain and off in to the distance. We could see Montreal from the top! Finished out the morning by skiing JFK, Vertigo, Beaver Pond, Upper Exibition, and Upper Goat Run. Finished skiing by 10 and drove home(8 hours). Great vacation. Here are a couple of last videos:

Both have shots of the Tram off in the distance as we ride the Bonaventure and believe it or not the "Green Mountain Freezer" was running! It lived up to its nickname, whoa what a cold ride, especially near the top as you look up or down on Everglade and Staircase Glades.

    jeffskismontana,

you should start your own blog! you've certainly got a lot of stuff to share, and not all necessarily bike related on this board. Just a friendly suggestion
