Drop USA Cycling. There's no reason for me or you to pay them. At the Reading race quite a few people decided not to pay them annually and decided to go with the one day license. The worst part is you get thrown into your own non member group of racers. In turn, beginner to semi-pro racers are all in the same category of all different ages and you don't get compared to someone within your ability.
Why pay them? Is this race part of a series? Dump USA Cycling. I know I won't pay them another $10 for no reason at all. Ttyl, Fahn
We decided to have a sanctioned race for two reasons. First, many riders who do multiple races per year and those racers who are Cat 1/Pro already have a license. If you have a license, this race will count towards your overall ranking, which is important to many people. Second is insurance. USAC offers a great race insurance package at a very cheap price. We purchased this insurance and then passed the savings on to the racers. For $30 you get your entry fee and a t-shirt (as long as you are pre-registered). We will have 4 ability categories for men and 2 for women. Should be a fun day of racing!!

One week out! PreRide tomorrow at 12:30pm.
Cmon Larry, look past usac the race is only 30 bucks and all you need is a one day license to race any class because we have an open/pro class. If anything you have insurance on your head while you're practicing and racing thx to usac. All the proceeds go back to the club and the park to finally legitimize our trail system. Come support a good cause for the sport we all love !
