Frick and North Park Drainage - how fast?

Hi everyone. Related to my other note about Frick: I'm in town for just a few days, and I see that Pittsburgh is suffering the same endless storm cycle that Detroit is. How well do the trails here drain? I try to be very conscientious about the trails in Detroit, since riding on them in the wet damages them. Should I abandon hope of riding Frick in the next couple of days because of the storms? I've never ridden there and would like to see what my hometown offers for trails if I can. Thanks.

Once Frick gets saturated, it gets pretty muddy. North park isn't so bad.

That said, we haven't really gotten as much rain as other areas, and Frick had been plenty dry, so it might not be too bad. Planning on heading out there tomorrow to check it out.

If you're really worried though, you could always go hit Bavington up (Hillman State Park) which drains extremely well.

If you're bored this evening, there's going to be a fundraiser for a local cyclist under the 28th St bridge on Sassafrass Way. $5 entry fee, drag races all night - run what ya brung.
Oh noes. I'm going to drink the Kool-Aid.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I should think about tomorrow as well, though today could be a possibility if I get bored.

I'm about to ride Frick soon. There isn't much flat terrain here so it all drains relatively quickly. There will be mud, but mostly only at the bottoms of dips.

Frick ended up being a little uglier today than I thought. It should be a lot better tomorrow if the rain holds out.
