Good job! Finally Found A Place To Ride

The Roaring Creek Water Company plowed the eight mile access road that runs along all three lakes from Naralie to Aristes (or vice versa). It's only a dirt road, but it's completely ridable and the scenery is breathtaking and no motor vehicles. I'm certainly not gonna complain about a sixteen mile out and back when everything else is snowed in. I'm gonna hit it again some time tomorrow if anyone wants to join in. Might even try to double up and do thirtytwo miles.

Nice! Good to see you can get out somewhere without having to deal with car traffic. I would gladly take 16 miles of that this weekend.

Nice pics. Any other day that would be a totally ghetto ride - 16miles on a dirt road, but there's a hell of a lot of snow, and it was great to get out with the crew.

After I got back, I went up to Geisinger (on foot.) Ran into John Maize (sp?) sans Pugsley. Hiked up yellow, then jeep road to the bowl, across blue, and down orange. There's alot of snow, but the trails close to the parking lot have seen quite a bit of foot and xc ski traffic. Will continue to hike it as much as possible to beat it down - I think in 7-10 days a few of the trails will be ridable. The jeep road has not been plowed, but it has been xc skied - would be a difficult climb.

    some more pixels

Some pretty traditional stuff shots ...

    ... gratuitous non-sequitur ...

... feeding the addiction at the turnaround point ...

... pretty, pretty, Voodoo, magic ...

... last week's field repair STILL holding ...

... and just in case you're wondering where it all began ...

Good times gang. Should have worn my wind-shell. And put some toasti-toes in my shoes. Extra wind-chill made a big difference even though it was in the 20's.

    Have a good time Sunday.

The VooDoo is one sweet looking machine. I think I had her for about three miles or so there and what an amazing ride. Really has me thinking about my next bike.
