The 13th Annual Fair Hill Classic mountain bike race will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2008. The Classic is one of the most popular cross-country races on the East Coast and is part of the Mid-Atlantic Super Series (MASS). The Classic has no laps, just miles of constantly changing singletrack with lots of hills, rocks, roots, woods, and fields. The race will sample the best trails in the 5,600 acres of Fair Hill near Newark, Delaware. Tea Kettle, Barney’s Trail, Crappy Start, Drunken Sailor, Rollercoaster…remember Crackhead Bob? They’re all included in this year’s race. We have categories for Novice, Beginner, Sport and Expert/Elite racers of all ages and genders, including singlespeeders. We also give the youngest racers a chance to show their stuff in the popular Kid’s Race. Even if you don’t participate in the race, come out to watch the action. We will have several viewing areas to set up your easy chair and enjoy the fun and excitement. Great trails, super race, lots of prizes, plenty of excitement, refreshments, fun for the entire family. Mark your calendars now!
