Looking for good trails in Erie? I ride at Asbury Woods Nature Center. There are quite a few routes to take and most of them interconnect. You can ride all day and still not be too far from your car. There is something for everyone. Ride out on the walking trail and then get into some tight single track. There are creeks to cross, hills to climb, and maybe a few jumps. If you go by yourself you will not find everything, but you will find enough to make you happy. There are a few loops that require coming out of the woods and heading down the road a block or two.
The group I ride with leaves the parking lot at 9:00am every Sunday.
If you are coming from I-90 take the Sterretania Road exit, make a left off the exit(follow Sterretania for approx 3 miles), make a left onto Old Sterretania Road, turn down Asbury Road, Look for a baseball diamond and a white barn on the left, the entrance to the parking lot is in between the baseball diamond and the barn, trail-head is behind the picnic area.
