Looks like this will be my first MTB race. Got thousands and thousands of road miles under my belt but only a few hundred MTB miles so far. Should I register as a beginner or bump up to sport?

@billy_pilgrim Glad to have you for your first MTB race! If you've been putting on some serious road miles we would suggest the Sport class. We're planning on have a pre-ride or two before the race so that would be the best bet to assess your strengths and make a decision! Pre-Registration is here:

    See you soon!

Nice job Rich! Although the video really doesn't do justice to the actual speed and fun factor of so many of the trails. Definitely one of the cooler places to ride, especially with the new stuff thrown in! 2 great pre-rides so far, lookin forward to an awesome CCC event on the 19th. Roll on coal crackers...

Not race related, even though I am going to everything in my power to come ride the Cracker, this is more for contact info for a couple Tamaqua natives that I rode Allegrippis with today. Thanks for the ride guys, and sorry my sappy ass was slowin' you down!

I am still trying to sweet talk my wife into letting me do Coal Cracker! Not sure if I'm getting anywhere, but keeping my fingers crossed!!

Edit: Ron or Adam...how long was your trip home?? I know it would be a bit shorter for me, just curious to try and sell the logistics of it all to the Mrs.

Wish I could have made the Cracker...Was talked into a night ride/birthday party in Rothrock, last night for one of my friends. Late night+late start to the morning=no CCC for me. Good Luck, keep the rubber down and the shiny side up!
