Cool-blue Rhythm Coal Cracker Classic Monthly Ride Series

    Helllllllooooo Coal Crackers!

The CCC crew is coming out of hibernation and getting things rolling for 2013. We'd like to announce our continuing monthly ride series starting up immediately! We have two dates up for grabs right now, so let us know which date works best for you! Most votes wins for this late April/May ride:

    Sun. April 28
    Sat. May 4

As always prepare for a great time with wonderful friends! Ride is 7 miles long and follows our CCC beginner/intermediate race course. If you are interested in racing the 2013 CCC this is a perfect time to get out on the course and ride it for yourself. ALSO, this land is off limits to others when not race day, so this is a perfect time to get some experience on these trails. A meet up time will be announced soon.

    See you on the trail!

David! All of our rides are super relaxed and meant to give you the most possible experience on our trails leading up to the 2013 race. Intimidation factor 0! See you on the 4th =)

    Hey Rich,

I'm up the street from you on E. 72nd at HSS. I should get out of here Saturday. I can lose up the truck and bring down some pasta to serve at your May 4th ride if you like. On me. It beats sitting in the house.

Ahh Scott! That's right! Good luck with the surgery...will def. be thinking of you! Pasta sounds pretty good to me also. I can bring some forks/plates/drinks etc and we can use the bungalow pavilion post ride on the 4th. Keep me updated on your healing progress!

Come down 81 South. Get off the McAdoo exit and take 309 South towards Tamaqua. Go for several miles and about the 5th traffic signal you should be in Tamaqua at the 5 points intersection. Directly on your right there should be a fountain. Turn right and go for several blocks. The road will bend towards the left and continue. At that point you should turn right. Not sure of the street name but I'm pretty sure there is a sign for Bungalow Park. Follow this road a short distance and you will come to the park.
    LOVE THE RIDE!

We DO have a very advanced 20 mile "Mammoth Loop" ready to go. Unfortunately, we haven't had much of a demand lately for group rides on this top loop. If you're interested let me know a date that you're free and I can run you up there!

Hello, I have never ridden in this area but I would be interested in seeing the 20 mile more advanced loop. I'm just getting back into things for 2013 and I am always looking for new places to ride. If you ever have a few others interested in hitting this trail, I would be interested in checking it out as well.

I've been hitting camp mack in Lancaster and rocky ridge park in York over the last couple of weekends and looking to branch out into some other areas.

    Thanks!!

More info please, "This land is off limits to others when not race day"? Private property? I'm interested in checking out the Bungalow Trail system, but can't make the 3pm ride. Up for two rides, say 9am? Or can you provide trail info?

Looking forward to this. I just did 8.5 miles of tough riding this afternoon and I was gassed. I just can't believe I used to ride a hard tail bike down some of these trails many years ago. It just does not compute because I was hanging on for all I was worth coming down some of the rocky runs I was on. Age must be impacting memory and biking ability more than I thought. 20 miles is going to be ridiculous but I am up for this for sure.

@tturbotom Yes correct, the land is off limits except for race day. We obtain a permit from Reading Anthracite to host others on the land for the CCC race day only. Can you still make 9am? If not contact me directly at coalcrackerclassic@gmail.com to set up another time!
