    Can't find a $500-$700 SS 29er in SE PA

Does anyone know of a dealer within 2 hours of Reading PA that sells $500-$700 SS 29ers that I could test out? I'm hoping there's a mom and pop shop not listed on Google or something, I am having a hell of a time.

Bryan Vanarsdale, the owner @ Bicycle Revolutions is a great dude & knows his stuff.

High Road Cycles in wayne has a Carve SL, which might be a little over your budget.

I am looking to sell my 2010 Specialized Rockhopper SL Comp 29er Hardtail.
It has been a great bike and it climbs like a dream.
I hate to get rid of it but I recently I upgraded to a full suspension mountain bike.
It has been ridden and has normal Mountain biking character marks on it.
I just had it tuned, replaced the seat, and put new brake pads on it.
The tires have been changed and other than some minor cosmetic sidewall scrapes the treads are like new.
    The bike has
Avid Juicy 3 SL hydraulic brakes
RockShck Tora Slite 29er alloy fork
    Shimano Deore shifter
    Shimano SLX Rear Derailleur

Shirk's sells redline and raleigh. It's 30-40 minutes away from reading. If they don't have what you want in stock they can get if for you quick.

    You should look at this.

I hate, HATE HATE Special Ed as a company. As such, I refused to buy their bikes. Then I traded my Surly Cross Check on a Rockhopper SL with the intent to upgrade the frame at a later date. I wanted to hate the bike. I really did. But I just can't. A year later, this is my favorite bike I have ever owned.

He is right, climbs like a goat, and is FAST. It is also more compliant than the three steel frames I have owned, and it's aluminum so it's super light. I am always amazed how the frame flexes to smooth out the trail or load in the turns, but never flexes at ALL when climbing aggressively. I consistently put in better strava times (uphill and down) on this than I do on my full squish geared 29er (Salsa Spearfish 2).

Although if the poster above's bike has a shifter and a derailleur, is it the SS model with the EBB?

To the OP- Mine is a size medium. If you're simply looking to test ride to see if the SS thing is for you, I would be happy to meet with you at Mt. Penn or Blue Marsh so you can try it out. Mine's not for sale, but it would at least let you know if you would like the SS thing. I will say this, I ride my single speed probably 9 rides out of 10. The fancy FS bike that was almost $3k collects dust while I have a blast on this one.
