Blue Skies and Great Temps at Frances Slocum

Somebody pinch me I must be dreaming! We are not supposed to have weather like this 5 days away from New Year's. Well, if I was dreaming I brought Rick and Lee into my dream with me....disturbing, don't ask? LOL! We met up at Frances Slocum where I had a flat tire not even five minutes in. Since we were close to the Carverton Road entrance we headed back to the truck to change it. Long story short, we got my bike up and going again. We saw a couple dog walkers and a couple other mountain bikers, including Chuck M. who apparently was running late and off he pedaled to Luzerne. Great guy, but I think one or two of his cylinders don't have full compression! LOL!

Noticed more trash around the parking area today. Picked up a bunch, but noticed even more up the road just a little way. I am going to have to get out there and police the area!

Well, what ensued from there was the most fun I have had on a mountain bike! It was muddy, but the trails were in pretty good shape. The weather was too good to be true and the laughs never stopped! I am finding more and more to like over at FS with every ride! Can't wait until spring! Enjoy the pics, everyone!

    Good job!

    What a Blast!

Thanks to the 40 degree weather, our ride was truly fun for all. Of course when it gets that warm the Mud Monster comes out. Trails were soft, and we saw Bob B, Gracie and Chuck M riding today, along with our new friend Ebony the black Lab puppy, and many other smiling hikers, and no bugs... LOL

It was fun to be able to once again ride the trails that were blocked by downed trees, thanks to motoman465 for taking care of that, and he was even cleaning up more before the ride, as some moron threw more stuff around! His riding has improved 10 fold and it was my first chance to see him ride at Frances Slocum since early this year. Rick hasn't lost a step either, and even I got to play trials a bit on my SS rigid 29er.

motoman465 lost a silver cycling computer on Lake Shore trail, if found please email:

Thanks to my friends for coming out to ride on this truly fantastic day!

    Crazy Weather

Nanker, yeah the weather is crazy in a real good way. The mercury is supposed to dip down some over the rest of the week. For the first time in many, many years I really don't care if it gets colder...I am having too much fun on the bike to care about the temp!

Krazcustoms, definitely a great day to be on the bike but anyday on the bike is a good day! I love to share our rides with everyone just as I love when you guys share your rides. The enthusiasm is contagious!
