    Blue Marsh Northern Loop

Anybody riding the northern loop of Blue Marsh where the race will run? I am hoping to find a group I can tag along with for a pre-ride.

Or can someone tell me what to expect? How does it compare to French Creek or Bear Creek?

    Thanks

The highest point on the entire Blue Marsh trail - approximately 560' elev. (lake is at ~290') is on that 7 mile loop circa mile marker 17. That, combined with some other healthy climbs around MMs 15 and 16, make it a pretty tough loop. Forget a comparison to French Creek... BM is different. Never been to BC, so I can't comment.

BM is not real technical, though all the rain we've had this season has definitely made some sections tougher. Some shale and roots on the hills, but the trail between MMs 18 and 21 is pretty flat and fast.

Antietam is rocky. Blue Marsh is not. That's what he meant by "few rocks". (as in very few)
