    Allegrippis rideable?

I need to visit family this weekend and might be able to sneak away for 1/2 day to ride Allegrippis at Raystown Lake. We have a boatload of snow here in MI and we've heard it's going thru PA. Not sure how much snow central PA received.

Is grippis rideable with a fatbike (likely on Mon morning)?

Just did 16.6 on my Moonlander today....was perfectly awesome.....we laid down first tracks. Enjoy it!

I'd say there was 3 inches of snow on the trails....maybe more but the Moony ate it up.

It should be prime. Check out the shoreline off of hydro loop, I'm pretty sure the lowered the water level for shoreline reconstruction is still in effect and there is some prime time "beach" riding going on there.

    Allegrippis rideable?

Watching the weather forecast closely. They're calling for freezing rain on Sun. I'm hoping they're wrong or it turns cold enough to snow so that I can ride Mon morning.

    Allegrippis rideable?

    Woohoo! Memorable morning ride.

My nomination for the most underrated trail segment: Osprey going downhill.

Every trail segment there that isn't hydro loop is massively underrated Glad you got a ride in!

How does it hold up there this time of year when temps start to creep near 40? Does the ground thaw & get sloppy or is it ok to ride?

I'm up in State College (an hour northeast of Raystown). We've had a lot of rain over the past week. I ride Raystown a lot in good weather. Although the trails are comprised of a rocky type of soil, and they probably still have a coating of leaves over them, I suspect they would be very soft. I would refrain from riding until they freeze, or there is an extended dry spell (essentially wait for April).

i'm passing close by this area in two weeks. it's a bit out of the way, so i'd like to know for sure how much snow you guys have before risking the detour. I have a fat bike, but i'm taking my skinny bike for this road trip.

    so....rideable?

Gripps still needs a little time to dry out, especially with the recent rain we're getting.
