Smile 2/27/10 Saturday Ride 9 Mile & SMR

The goal for Saturdays Ride was to find a place that didn't have feet of snow covering the riding surface. That left Forest Roads which had been plowed. Joining two Forest roads, 9 Mile & SMR with a bit of pavement yielded an 18 mile ride with over 1800 feet of climbing. Thanks to some of the SMLOG club members who were snowmobiling and even stopped to ask if I was lost. They said they were very surprised to see a mt biker out there in blizzard conditions.

Nice. We've been doing the same thing quite a bit. A dirt road is better than no ride at all.
