Good job! 1/30/10 Mocanaqua Trails... below zero wind chill

On a day where the temps didn't get out of the single digits, 6 degrees at start and 8 at finish. Riding at the Mocanaqua Trails was "cool" The usual climb at the start made for a bit of a warm-up. Not another person, quadrider, or bug in sight! IT WAS COLD! Below zero wind chill, riding the Green and Red and a bit more roaming around, with great pics of the old breaker foundations, old water company, coal mines, buildings, and railbeds. Basically unknown and a Great Place to Ride! We hit our fav Happy Pizza for the after ride meal and even they asked if the riding was COLD for us! Can't wait to do it again.

    More pics coming

Hahaha, you guys are pro winter riders. You wouldn't catch me outside with this current temperature...

    ...or would you?
I give positive rep all around but then I get negative rep from all the clowns.

Yup..It was a little on the chilly side. Fun ride, though! The moto crew was out and wound for sound! Knee Chuck, MXER, and Lee always make for a fun ride! I must say even though I thought my heart was going to explode I am liking the SS thing!

    Meep, Meep....Gas, Tires, Oil...Meep, Meep

The time and temp when I was leaving home this morning!

The FMF sticker is always present!

Lee ordering at the drive-thru window

It was a little warmer when I returned home!

Great times with great friends!!! Can't beat it....Yuuuuuuuppppppp!!!

    Good job!

    Guys;

That sure was a blast. After I arrived home I still hadn't warmed up, but it was all worth it. I do know from the past in the hottest summer days it is always cool in those woods.

    Pics are up now!

The colder it is the harder you have to pedal! It wasn't too terrible once you got into the woods. The parking lot was another story. Not far off the river and you would get that wonderful wind whipping through there. Definitely made your teeth chatter! LOL! Had a blast though...can't wait to do it when the mercury is a little higher in the tube!

I had a blast today, and like Lee said there was no one else out, heck I don't even remember seeing a Animal, not one!
MXER got me inspired to climb hills I never would have thought I could get up without self imploding, and some of those downhills were outright scary!
Me and Motoman were trading jokes and puns most of the day.

I forgot my camera in the Truck, Lee you did a great job with the pictures as allway's, you have a good eye for the unusual.
Thanks for another great ride guy's

Headed down "south" today for the Snotcycle race in Leesburg, VA. It wasn't very southerly weather. By the time us SSers went off at 1pm there was at least 3-4 inches of snow on the ground and it was coming down like crazy.

It was warm compared to your ride though, I think it was in the high teens!!

Every muscle in my body is screaming at me, "YOU SILLY, FAT BASTAD!!!" I find it a bit odd that my muscles speak with an English accent!

Can't wait to go do it again tomorrow!!!

Raced SS. It was a blast. Really cold and really, really snowy.

Results aren't posted yet. Probably finished middle of the pack somewhere.

There is a link to some pics already over on the Virginia forum.

Seriously dude what are you smoking?

You dig up a 2 year old thread that I rode in freezing cold temps and ask me what trails I took and direction?

    Ready for the answer?

    YES!

    You cyc-o(notice spelling) you!

    I'll tell ya...
...park at the stink plant, through gate, straight, climb hill on right, follow all the way to the top, you will see the old buildings then from there I went straight basically the green and orange trails and returned.

Please wait till it's 4 degrees though to ride it, I can just imagine climbing that hill now with 90 degree temps and the fine aroma. Hope you can hold your breath and climb!

    Dere ya went...
