you know you have mountain bike passion when...

you get on a rollercoaster, and when you go through the turns your hands start gripping imaginary handlebars and you start imagining yourself railing through the berms.. and preparing for the next trail feature.

now if only i can do those kind of berms without the rails...
Let it flow, let yourself go, slow and low, that is the tempo.

when your friends take you scuba diving for the first time and all you can think of, is if there are any trails in the nearby mountains.
Let it flow, let yourself go, slow and low, that is the tempo.

You book 2 bike vacations at KT in Vermont a year in advance.

    Or

You book a Christmas ski vacation hoping the bike trails will be well packed.

I've been doing that lately, being clipped in makes it super easy.

... When you start taking your road bike with slicks offroad 'cause the pavement is just too boring.
    I meant to do that.

I get that impulse when I'm in my car and have to suppress it.

When you find that you spend more time at work on MTBR than you do on your actual job duties.

I'm just saying that hypothetically, not actually doing that myself or anything.

My wife says I have lost my Mind! There's no mountain biking in San Juan or St Thomas! I say if there's a bike shop there's a possible rental!

^Actually, it's the opposite for me. I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster when ripping through rolling, twisty ST.

When you invision riding up over or off of everything you see when you are going somewhere and every time you see a rock you ask yourself whether its doable. Often confusing the people your with when you say out loud "Yea I could do that!" while looking at a big rock at the park.

hahahaha! i do that in church during the sermon.

the steps down from the altar look very doable with a little bunny hop.

When you says"i would do that by bike" looking at every travel show on tv

When you make the movement of "uncliping" removing your foot from the accelerator of your car.

When your are driving your car and see possible trails everywhere along the roads.
expensive cars are a waste of money. Expensive bikes...not so much!

I can tell you from experience that you can stop booking your Kingdom Trails vacations way in advance when after 12 years you finally just buy a place up there

You know they plan on having some of the groomed xc ski trails open for the fatbikes this winter, right?

Good job! From one of my older posts, but just as relevant...

    - yelling out "On your Left!" when I'm shopping at the supermarket.
    - tendency to pull up on the steering wheel when my cars front wheels are rolling off the driveway curb.
    - uncontrollable urge to rub vaseline inside the crotch of my dress pants
    - telling someone there's "one more behind me" when i walk by them on the sidewalk
    - trying to stand up in the car when I drive over bumps in the road
    - get pissed in stairwells when people going down don't stop and move to the side when I'm going up
    - friends say "nice rack" at a bar and I look outside on the car roofs
and the number 1 sign you know you have MTB passion...
    - cotton underwear just doesn't feel right anymore
