    Work Bench Photos

I'm looking to buy a new house and I think I'm most excited about getting a work area either in the garage or the basement. I'd appreciate some pics showing your set up, as well as any do's and don'ts for a home based bike shop.

Mandatory Items in my future garage:

    work bench
safe bike storage (safely secured, away from cars)
    beer fridge
    to name a few...

Thanks for your help in advance.
Either you rode today, or you didn't.

    I'll bite

You'll get lots of advice. Mine is: It's personal. Make it how YOU want it. I prefer my tools in a box rather than a pegboard. I was lucky to find a guy replacing new kitchen cabinets because of the color.I combined them for a 14" length. I used two layers of 3/4 plywood for the top, and offers plenty of storage underneath. My son built me the bench on wheels as a gift (while I watched). Like I said, most of it is personal.

    I downsized

As my needs decreased tool wise since my retirement I downsized my tools too. My parents bought me a Craftsman top and bottom when I graduated high school in '72 My kids help "decorate" it through the years. I use the smaller Craftsman for my bike specific tools. The Snap On is no more.
