Does anybody know where I can find the old archived passion board?

Anything in particular, or did Craig's answer bring you joy? Those were the really old passion; the first version. Then there was the second version, and this is the third version.

If you have links from the second version that no longer work, I can convert them so that they do, or show you how.

That's good stuff. I'm looking for stuff from version 2 though. Specifically, some of the good old fashioned troll lynchings we used to have. I wish I'd thought to bookmark those threads. We have a troll who pops up occasionally on the local boards and I remember the hilarious ways they were dealt with on here. Just looking for some ideas. Thanks.

Oh ye of little faith:

That is the problem though, any links to the version 2 threads don't work.

eg.
http://forums13.consumerreview.com/crforum?14@186.POB4ayYHEEi.2999660@.efbc75b/9
http://archive.mtbr.com/09/0EFBC75B.php

To be honest, I converted that one manually, but I have a program that does it at home.

If anyone has a list of threads they want me to convert, send me a PM or email.

If you want to manually search for something there's an archive of version 2 threads here:

http://archive.mtbr.com/index.php

The real problem is that when they transitioned the database, they lost the links to the images that were linked via the image submit box. Inline <img src=...> images survived.

I remember you posted this before, but how do you convert them manually?

I have a bunch of old links to photos that I would like to grab if I can.
If you look at the link you posted, and my response, the original link contains a hexidecimal number towards the end. Convert it to all upper case, and add a zero to the front so it's eight digits:

http://forums13.consumerreview.com/crforum?14@186.POB4ayYHEEi.2999660@.efbc75b/9

See the "efbc75b"? Make it 0EFBC75B and put it into this format:

http://archive.mtbr.com/##/0EFBC75B.php

The ## is what forum it was. 00 for passion, 17 for SS, 09 for general, etc. You can get the values from http://archive.mtbr.com/index.php.

I haven't figured out how the original forum is encoded into the other part of the original URL. My program goes through all the forums looking for a valid page, and stops when it finds it. All the links I had were either passion or the SS board, so it was easy. Your link to general took me 10 tries to figure out.

If you have your links in a file, email it to me, and I'll convert it and send it back.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
