Wow, that dose look nice! I have been hearing a lot of good things about the trials in the Los Vegas area. Guess I'll have to do a road trip out there to check it out! Thanks for sharing Laura!

It was absolutely serene. I'm going to bike the 13 mile loop around Red Rock this weekend. More pics to come.

I was there about a week and a half ago... Agreed, a most excellent place to ride a bike. Thanks for the pix!
I'm looking forward to regretting this.......

Is that where the Red Rock's concert venue is? Really beautiful.

You are likely thinking of the Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre outside of Denver, CO.
Lots and lots of red rocks out west! We all think of Moab as red rock central but there are beautiful outcrops of gorgeous red sandstone all over the place. A few off the top of my head:
Gallup, NM
McElmo Canyon near Cortez, CO
Dinosaur National Monument near Grand Junction, CO

Nice! I used to spend so much time hiking and climbing out at Red Rock and I loved riding the Cottonwood trail system. That is the one thing I really miss about living in Vegas. I am glad you got to enjoy it!

[QUOTE=Laura Portinari;10269156]So it was off-road in the high, hilly -- and yes, some green -- desert 30 miles outside Vegas off Nevada 160, about 10 miles from Red Rock Canyon.
[COLOR=#333333][FONT=Arial]Some of the best single-track riding and challenging hills with an amazing scenery/wildlife.
You didnt find Rubber Ducky yet?

Hey now, part of the fun with Rubber ducky is the wondering "what the hell could it be?"
To the Op, I love riding in red rock, try the cowboy trails if you are up for a challenging ride with amazing views, loads of fun.
