You should post this in the SoCal forum, I'm sure you'll get more advice there?

Make a couple trips up to the San Bernardino Mnts and ride SART and/or the trails north of Big Bear Lake. Stop in at Bear Valley Bikes for info on BB. Maybe the new bike park at Snow Summit if that's your thing.
    Ripping trails and tipping ales

So Cal is far more than just Los Angeles. How much driving are you willing to do for those rides?

Forgot to mention, been up to summit...pretty nice run up there...as far as distance, I say maybe 1-2 hr drive...I live in LA but my parent lives in San Bernardino...thinking about hitting up El Moro and Crystal Cove at laguna...going to scout it out tomorrow

I did Tapia Cyn in Castaic for the first time... Highly recommended for some fun single track... It's worth the climb... It's like Disneyland with all the ST options out there... Lots of YouTube videos to reference...

Also, I'm partial to Sycamore Cyn at Pt Mugu and Laguna Woods in OC... Both have nice views of the ocean...
