    Tour Divide 2013

The masochists are rolling through town this week. There was a pretty good wave yesterday. The racers ride through downtown, by the brewery and then right past my house, so the race is a bit of an annual spectacle.

The leaderboard is here, in case anyone follows them like my neighbor. Since she saw the movie, she's been obsessed.

I've been following Kevin Campagna. He's from our town.

Don't know anyone this year doing the TD, so haven't been following.

At the risk of sounding stalkeresque - give us your neighbor so we can all watch & cheer her on.

If you haven't watched it, check out the movie Ride the Divide. It's a documentary about the race. Pretty good stuff.

We had a pretty good thunderstorm roll through this afternoon. I bet quite a few riders got peppered with hail. I was hanging out at my LBS at the time, and it was interesting to hear how much brake and drivetrain carnage they've seen TD riders bringing in already.

I confess I don't get the joke, aside from the appeal of a woman who's fascinated by mountain bikers. But she has a type: ultra-fit, lots of spare time, questionable decision making.

They are simply confused. They think your neighbor is riding in the Tour Divide, rather than following it. I thought your post made that pretty clear, though.

Ester is on record breaking pace. I like the position board this year with the flags and pace flags.

    Tour Divide 2013

It wasn't that long ago that riders called in from pay phones and left a message on an answering machine to be transcribed and posted on a blog.

I wonder if we'll see more unicyclists touring the route this summer.

evasive, not meant as a joke, I misread to believe your neighbor was riding. Sorry for the confusion.

Ah, that makes more sense. Brain was muddled.

Ran into another rider getting set right at my LBS. They see a lot of business this week.

Don't remember hitting a bike shop in Helena in 2011 when I raced, I think I was trying to ditch my snow shoes at that point. I did enjoy the hospitality in Butte at the Outdoorsman though
