    Syncros 1993 Catalogue

Digging through a my box of old mountain bike stuff I found the 1993 Syncros Catalogue so figured I should whack it on the scanner and share it

Loved Syncros stuff back then, in fact the same assortment of Syncros parts are still on my 1991 Stumpy today!

Full hi-res catalogue (forum squashed the pics too much!) at Syncros 1993 Catalogue | Digital Hippie

    Cool find.

When I got my first real MTB mid 90s I was lusting over race face and sycros parts. Back then there was only one model of race face cranks (turbines), and one syncros stem. I had the negative rise cattlehead pictured. The same year I upgraded my bike from canti's to v-brakes and a "long travel" 3.5" RS Indy xc fork. Those were the days...

I graduated from high school in '93 but I was just barely getting into mountain biking at the time. I had a univega that cost about 400 bucks.

The two things that stick out the most in the catalog are the slingshot and the narrow bars with long stems, both seem dangerous in retrospect.

Did anyone ever severe a limb on a Sling Shot's tensioned cable downtube?

Yeah. Quality stuff indeed. Especially "back in the day". Still have it mounted on one of my old rides that barely ever sees the light of day anymore.

Made this little video for something to do a couple of years ago. Made special note of the Syncros cranks it's still sporting. :-) I love that bike.
