Strava douches take note: It pays to be courteous.

    Great vid….

Video: It Pays to be Courteous - Pinkbike

Admittedly I am a bit of a Strava douche myself. I don’t run people over but I might not stop and chat. I have pissed off horse people before when I was getting into riding and did not know better. Now I play the who can be more polite game with them. I do my fair share of trail clearing and building so its all good.

I just do not see the "Passion" in marginalizing a segment of this great sport. Besides, its too easy and has been beat to death. I'll go sit in the corner now.

Why do you hurt me so?

I am just a noob trying to make my way in this oh so cruel mtbr universe. Actually not so much, long time poster over at rbr so I am used to the general section being up on top. Figured passion is similar, mods feel free to move as need be. Not trying to deride or marginalize the sports at all. Just thought it was a cool vid that could do some good for some to see, myself included!

For that grouchy time of the month may I suggest a Hot Carl or Cleveland Steamer?

    Haha, you said testy!

Good message in that video! And what's up with people not yielding to someone climbing up the trail all because they yell "rider up" first?

I got a kick out of the '70's man pelt. I'm glad that decade from hell is gone- bad hair, bad clothes, severely rapid decline of the "performance" car, really bad tv shows (although they're no better now either). Those of you who keep trying to revive it weren't born yet or are too naive to know how bad it sucked.

Video was funny but honestly that's how lots of people ride out here on the East Coast when there's a race or an epic ride. At the Cranky Monkey in Rocky Gap last year, the pre-race talk subject was passing etiquette and " whatever you do, when you see a rider down ahead of you, it's not cool to ride over the rider and bike". I've seen numerous crashes as a result of people passing in tight corners and other tech sections just because they didn't want to wait a few more seconds.
Those horses need to go back to the ranch or off to the glue factory.

Lol ya think? I'm sure it's not just an east coast thing, although if you judge by the way we drive it's probably not too far from the truth. But to counter my own statement, in the past when I've traveled to Indiana to visit family it seems that every other midwesterner turns into a ripsnortin' nascar redneck behind the wheel

Tokul east trail system which is a few miles east of Seattle. Great user built trail system but I must say I've never seen a gaggle of babes like that at the TH before!

All in the Family was fantastic. But don't discount the Bob Newhart show, Barney Miller, The Odd Couple, and later M.A.S.H and Cheers.

None of those can touch Charlie's Angels or C.H.I.P.s! Haha.

But mountain bike forces men to wear tight lyrca.

    Some good basic trail etiquette:

    1. Yield to other users
    2. Stay in control
    3. Ask to pass horses
    4. Don't skid
    5. Multi use trails aren't race courses

I think the video gets the message across

On a side note, did anyone notice how floppy the Kuat rack is in the opening 20 seconds? I only noticed because I was planning to buy one. My guess is he left it loose for effect but I'm not really sure.
