    Starting A New Local Club

The localshop I work for Jakes Bike Shop in Yakima Washignton is trying to get our own Club started.
We have been Doing weekly MTB rides at trails within a Half Hour of the shop, but are having a hard time attracting members. We want to build the club to a point that we could also have a team travel to races on the weekend.

Any ideas on how to get the word out or advertise to attract local riders?

    Thanks, Jakes!

I would post this in the Trail Building and Advocacy forum. Lots of those folks are highly involved in their clubs.
15mm is a second-best solution to a problem that was already solved.

why don't you post a flyer up at the bike shop where you work. hold a skills night ride for beginner riders. trail days etc. give a little talk about your club and what you want to accomplish before each event. have a sign up sheet always... facebook page also, info/contact cards...
