    Some Summer Rides

Haven't taken my camera with me much this summer and have posted up even fewer ride reports so I thought I'd add a little content from a few of my rides over the past three months.

Top of High Roller. Thus begins one of the best 4 mile descents around.

This "trail" circles that peak in the last picture. It's a little rough yet. The deer are still working on it.

My new bike hauler. Just trying to figure out where to put the rack.

A little ride with my son who just left for graduate school Thursday. It was good having him this summer. We didn't do enough of this when he was here though.

A few pictures from our local enduro. The 8th annual running of the Fears Tears and Beers Enduro. Good times.

And from a long ride I took yesterday. It ended up being longer and steeper than I remembered. I was tanked when I got home just before dark but it was good to ride something different. By this time of year the normal trails are getting a bit stale.

Cheers. How has your summer gone?

Edit: Yes the pictures are squished horizontally (Don't ask me why mtbr does that). Click on the picture and you can view it in fickr if you want to see it in the normal aspect ratio.

Thanks man. How you been? I had to borrow the EG from a friend for my son to ride. Since selling off the stable to fund the chilcotin I only have the one bike.

You may have seen that same El Guapo in a post I did a couple years ago when I helped another friend in the locating and purchasing process. Tyler really liked it.

Thanks. The FTB was great. We had our best turnout ever, the weather was perfect, gave away some good cash and prizes, and had a super fun time.

I bonked and cramped hard while doing the final 1800' climb up to the start of the last (6th) timed descent but somehow regrouped enough to pull off a podium. Fun, hard race.

Never ridden in East NV, looks like some sweet trails.

    - Did/does your son go to UVU?

Yeah we have a some pretty good trails. Not nearly enough of them given the huge area and perfect geopgraphy for mountain biking. But we're working on it (Great Basin Trails Alliance).

That's my son-in-law in the UVU sweat shirt and yes he just graduated from UVU last year and his headed off to graduate school in Oregon next week. New places to visit family means new places to take my bike to ride (Son is headed to SoCal).
