    Solo ride passion...

So I took a much needed vacation day today and decided to go out on a solo ride at Double Lakes in Coldspring, TX early this AM. I very rarely ride solo whether it's trail or road, so I took the time to really enjoy the scenery and really take it all in. Living and working in Houston it's not too often that you can get completely alone, but Double Lakes on a weekday is the perfect remedy for that... 21 miles of single track and not another person the whole time I was there. Awesome.

Thought I'd share a few photos from the ride... please don't mind the post processing, I'm trying a few new techniques.

seventy to eighty percent of my rides are solo. my riding crew broke up when everybody got old, married and moved from san francisco to oakland.

now the only riding partner i have is my crazy neighbor who rides really far almost every day.

riding solo is a good way to blow out all the psychic garbage your mind collects in between rides, in my humble opinion...

cant agree more. While it is fun to ride with others and lots of time results in good stuff afterwards (beer, food, laughs) sometimes it is just needed for that solo ride.

OP - like the post processing, mind sharing your exif info?
Here is one of mine with my iPhone and the Camera+ app from a recent solo ride (currently my desktop background)
