    socal passion

Whodathunk? Singletrack in Orange County that isn't ruined by skidiots is a rare treat. Well, a few Fruitians, including an expatriate who lives in 'Dago sure appreciated it. I guess if you have to really climb to enjoy a beautiful trail like this, it weeds out the less skilled and/or caring mountain bikers.

The SJT is trashed from the skidding shuttle monkeys that permeate it on the weekends. I don't name names, which tends to keep trails like this in great shape. It was quite odiferous, which reminded me of surfing at Trestles during springtime in the 70's. I can't stand the overused colloquilism "sweet" but in this case, it was in the proper sense of the word.

I feel like a prize idiot for growing up behind the Orange curtain and never riding somewhere that looked that good.

is even if you named names (as was correctly guessed below), it's safe from the shuttle monkeys and even those XC riders with little skill since to get to the top, one must actually ride a long time and very high. Although the top can be accessed via vehicle, it's way far out of the way for anybody to want to do it as a shuttle.

    nice pics though.

It tops out at an altitude close to the one I live at and I'll neither confirm nor deny the location.
