Slowing down to enjoy the trail

A guy in my office has made the decision to start mountain biking, where he lives there are some great trails to commute on and take him straight to our office. I offered to show him some of the trails and routes he could take. In doing so, I found myself waiting for him quite a bit(he is trying) and taking a couple pics...we have great riding in town. The trails are technical, raw and difficult but very senic I need to slow down and look at the scenery more often.

On the way back I showed him one route over the top of the ridge instead of through the saddle.

    Ready to go again.

Awesome pics. Great passion. I often ride with beginners trying to get them hooked on mountain biking with the passion I have for the activity. Riding at their pace allows me to see different things and features in and around the area. Fascinating!!

Take about jealous! If my commute to work took me through such a beautiful area I'd probably never make to the office or I'd be really, really late every morning.

+1. I'm bringing a new mtbr into the fold as well. Slow-going but I'm not racing so what's not to like about being out on the trail amongst friends & sharing the love?

Re: Slowing down to enjoy the trail

I am in Klamath Falls, OR. That is Klamath Lake in the pictures. One guy I contract with lives in the same area as my office partner. He rides the ridge trails twice a day and is a beast of a climber.. Not to mention we live at 4100' at the lake level. We do have some great country to ride here.

Sent from my Android in the great outdoors.

I know what you mean. I hate stopping but I love taking in the scenery. What to do...
Small ring in front makes it easier. Small ring in back makes it harder. That blows my mind.
