The main character (hellboy) has too much attitude (something woverine-esque multiplied by a factor of 10). Some of other characters are interesting, other just plain dull.
I'd still recomend it if you are curious about how the cartoon goes in the big screen, but if you are really demanding I'd say save your ticket for Kill Bill vol 2.
There is a great series of scenes with Hellboy sitting on a roof with a kid they misidentify at 9 years old. It tells you who the movie is for. My son liked it so I had fun. No reason to see it in a theater. Wait for video.
Saw it at a matinee last weekend and I thought it was entertaining. I wasn't expecting moving performances or Oscar-worthy effects and I got what I expected. See it if you like that sort of thing.
It was really a good movie I didnt think it would be that good expect for one scene where the bridge falls in at it was awsome!
