...but a few years ago, I got an email from the University of Maryland offering an opportunity for a position in Lidar research. They addressed the letter with "lidarman"...the only alias I had at the time for lidarman was mtbr.com!
Haha, that's wierd. I use the same alias for just about every message board I post on... I just got a link to every board I've posted on for the last 6 years
OMG...I bet I know the guy doing that work. A colleague of mine went there a few years ago to head up a lidar program at MSU! I get a bug here and there thinking of moving to Bozeman.
I just simply googled 'strackmike' and only came up with 4 hits, 3 of which were all Sea Otter postings. The last one was a reference to myself, cohenfive, webshot and masked rider; but the hit was coming from a site in mexico???
Google rules. It can find anything and it thinks like I do. It even found me.... Ok, so I was on the third page after several listings for Mee Krob Thai crunchy sweet and sour noodle references and an aquarium in Hawaii but that is amazing. Now if I could just figure out a way to use it in my garage when I'm looking for that other glove.

Kevin Repasky is in charge of the program I believe. . . You'd love it here (as long as you like cold winters with lots of snow) The biking is second to none too.
I just amazed that years after I posted this in response to why I SS, "I like walking up the hills? And besides, I can't climb worth a damn on my gearie either, so what good is it?", I'm still being quoted on this site, http://www.trianglemtb.com/pages/passion/whySS.html . At least I'm in good company.
If I goggled me "jonowee" and I come up with:
- MTBR profile
- Perthmtb.com threads
- MTBR Dream Bike builds, like this one, yes some dodgy parts but I still love my description for it.
- Some archived MTB-OZ
- Race results of my first race ever, Solo... how silly and definately slow.
- PMBC "Op shop"
- Music review for Eargasm
- More MTBR content, now it's One-on-one action
- Even more MTBR stuff, now it's Product Reviews
- Strangely links to the parent directory of some Garfield page from the Nederlands
- More MTBR material, now it's me on the RockShox girl commenting on the French.
Damnit!.... no naked pics, but the was a half naked Jon on the Dutch Garfield site which file name is jonOwee. Is that naked enough
... I never really understood Garfield comics.
I guess if hollywood goggled his name, he gets 35,000,000 hits. that's right 35 million hits, Trevor!'s 2nd with 6.25 million hits, forkboy is 3rd with 5,970 hits.
Hmm, looks like I've got another life as a website developer. Picha (pronounced peecha) is a pretty uncommon name so it was fun seeing what popped up.
One time I searched this site looking for some info that I had posted before and came across a thread of someone slamming me b/c I'm a stay at home mom with 4 kids. Go figure That was eye opening.
Can google find Jesus? I hear there are all kinds of people looking for him. Maybe those people should ask the ones that have already found him?
