    Riding public trails wet

Private land owners do what they want, is it OK to ride or race on wet trails?

It depends upon the trail, obviously.

Some good advice...http://www.nemba.org/Articles/SoftRiding.html This is for the thaw up in my area, I'm not sure what your conditions are.

Your bike can take you anywhere, anytime, over any terrain but, you have to force it to GK 2004. BB1, who started it?

OK more to the point, on public trails IMBA tells us not to ride wet trails, but I haven't seen a fall race canceled because of wet trails

I have seen cases and hope it would be true in all events that the race host would have a crew to repair the trails after the race.

..yes when I lived in TX Murphy used to always make sure nature dumped several inches on the course. never did a promoter cancel; always they did trail repair afterward.
