Not mtb related but a damn good read anyway. Very cool.

Here's my crummy, slow-going blog The Slow Spoke if you're interested.

Awesome outcome! It's the only way your getting your stolen bike back, police are way to busy for bike theft nowadays...

Pretty cool. There was a similar (but even better) story recently where a guy stole his bike back through CL and FILMED the whole thing. He rode away from the seller, then back towards him telling him he knows the guy is a thief and that he is now taking his bike back. Then put it on YouTube.

I am sure it was posted here at the time.

    Good for her!

My bike-thief fantasies don't involve riding away while they watch dumbfounded....

Even though it was risky, I think it was a good move on her part. If the authorities aren't going to help, might as well take matters into your own hands.

Glad this turned out well and it is cool to see it but it could have been much worse for her. Also, the police are too busy to look for her bike but once she found it I bet they would have been glad to setup a sting and throw this DB in jail.

This guy has probably already stolen another bike to make up for his "loss".

It would have been cool to plant a transponder on the bike and follow it back to his place to see how many more bikes he has.
