No fat bike to give me a tow

Living in southern Ontario, yesterday we recieved yet another snowfall mixed with rain. I decided to venture out for a quick ride. As I headed further into the trail the snow was about 5 to 6" and starting to become heavy. It was a great ride which at some points getting stuck, this is where I sat on the side of the path waiting for a fat bike to pull me out. You think they would be waiting on every side trail entrance just like the highways but nope not one in sight.. What a great time out on the trail.

We just had a week of Winter snow here in Alabama. I have been seeing the fat bike crazy at the LBS. I too went for a wintery weather ride and did not pass a single fat bike on the trail.

Saw a bright green Niner on the local (snow free*) trail yesterday. Took me a few seconds to process he was rocking a fatty in front and regular in the rear; fully rigid. In retrospect, that sounds so naughty, but I know you understand I'm referring to tires & suspension.

*We get snow for a few hours every five or six years.

I think fat bikes make more sense where I live. We usually get snow in November that sticks around till late April or early May. I still don't own one though.
