I noticed some threads the attachments photos are really fouled up. Not sure why as they were ok yesterday. Your photos are clear.

I am using Google Chrome....Here is the thread....

I also visit RoadBikeReview and so I am familiar with overall format, but don't remember those issues there.

I have been told I cannot connect to the database when I tried to do a quick response, so I had to go advanced and wing it.

and this is a quick edit noting that it worked

Not good... Pics in lots of threads are screwed up and now tiny. Why does the new format only use 2/3 of the page? Looks like other forums that I don't like using.

Having some issues viewing some pictures, not all, another Chrome user here, there seem to be some teething problems still. I am also seeing some sideways compression of the pages at times, things are sometimes squeezed narrower than they would be normally.

The old photos are being reprocessed and resized at the moment. New photos are done right now so they'll be fine. It will take a week to crunch through the million photos but we are starting with the most recent ones first and going back from there.

Figured out the narrow pages... go to the box that says 'fixed' in the lower left of the page and click 'wide'... that will bring you the full width of the page again.

Nice fish taco's. It's good to see that there are beans on the plate as well, all we bean growers ask is for one can a week!

I don't do cans, but I buy bags and prepare them myself.

Like anything, the new format will take a little bit of time to get used to, but I do like the photo set-up. Not having to scroll will have its benefits. However, will that make any text mixed in with the photos obsolete?

Is there a new "size" requirement for pics that are uploaded? Just uploaded a few on a thread and they are all scrambled and blurry. How do I upload pic that are clear now?

Yes, but it's not mtbr's fault, it's vBulletin's. vBulletin 3 (the old forum) was perfect. That was a legendary forum software and no change was needed. vBulletin went down the gutter when they made vB 4 (this new forum) and even vB 5 (currently in beta) is looking like crap. If it were up to me I would have stuck with vB 3 until something better came along (which doesn't seem likely because I don't even like IPB or XenForo that much).

Using an outside image site works a lot better and saves mtbr bandwidth. Just upload over there and embed the picture code in your posts. Picasa is ok for small photos, there's also PhotoBucket, ImageShack, and many others. Even Facebook works for now.

I tried clicking the above link and it opened a new window that said

The website cannot display the page

    HTTP 500

    Most likely causes:
    •The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a programming error.

    What you can try:

    Refresh the page.

Go back to the previous page.

    BD,
They're working on stuff, so a 500 error is to be expected, until things get ironed out.

It's like the pictures ... Until they all get crunched through the database, many will appear unrecognizable.

Ugh. I hate change but I eventually adapt.

Looks like there are few bugs. I noticed when I was typing in the "reply" box on a pm that the text just kept going (and disappeared) into the ads and pictures to right rather than auto-returning. Didn't happen here though.

Don't like how the forum search drop down works on my iPhone. Not as slick as before. Maybe that's an iphone thing.

Blue may be my favorite color, but this blue/grey just looks awful---DRAB and Dull.

Don't like how it splits up some user names.

Predominant black type still has its advantages; right now all referenced and main type become awash in the overall field.
Also, unless I have this wrong, but I liked the 'latest posts' when it was laid-out like the main 'all forums' page.
So, yes, increase the viewing scale by pushing more black type, maybe up by a few points here and there. Ultimately it is our dingleberry eyes that take it all in, oh, and our slightly concussed brains.
Overall thanks Francois and crew for working so hard for such a great site!!!

That's how I found the wide setting, this morning.

I went to find a color theme change, like another vbulletin site I frequent, and only found a width change.

Now all I see are freak'n advertisements ... Everywhere

I wish the quick navigation button wouldn't reset to the top when I go back to it. I used check my 4 or 5 favorite forums top to bottom using a drop down menu. When I finished loading tabs for the first one, when I would go back to the drop down menu, it would remain where I left off, so I could continue working my way down the list of forums. Now, with the quick navigation button, it always takes me back to the top, so I have to scroll all the way back down to where I left off. It is not a deal breaker, but I'm just trying to provide feedback.

In the Latest Forum Posts , right now both the thread title and forum are jammed in the middle (after the poster's name), and are both in the now infamous dusty blue type. Let's push one or the other to a flush right, and one into a black type, maybe a few points larger, but at least the former suggestion. Since the LFP is no longer set-up like the typical forums page, anything to help scroll the latest greatest would be a BIG help.

I don't care for the feminine colour scheme. The scheme should reflect the riotous colours we see when riding - blue, green, red and brown, especially brown.

And what's with the wide column of advertising on the right? I want to see folks' passion posts on full screen, not 2/3rds.

The colors are this way because this is just the default vB 4 skin. It would be nice to see a custom skin made, especially in those green, red, and brown colors mentioned above.

This new format is very different from the old. It's certainly going to take a while for me to get used to it. Oh well.

As one of the earlier posts said, I am also a bit old and resistant to change. I can get used to the new colors eventually. Dislikes - seems like the pictures shrunk and the ad section grew bigger - any way to shrink the right hand ad section a bit.

Of bigger concern, I cannot access many of my old threads. Am I missing something? If I do a search all i get is some really old threads or something very recent (since the change). I think there used to be a way to access all the threads you started but I can't seem to find that now. Lots of good info, maps, and pics I would like to be able to access and share as needed. Any help for this late adapter is appreciated.

Found the "Wide" setting so at least I can view pics full size now. That was my biggest issue, although I still prefer the previous version.

In the lower left drop down box, are you choosing "wide" instead of "fixed?

I was finally able to access my old threads by searching for all posts and threads on the home page. Just seems that stuff is a little harder to find, but eventually I'll get it figured out.
