A couple days before the fest was to start. Camped. Did some riding. Ate and drank. Met and rode with Dave and Peggy, from Vancouver. Apparantly they post on here once in a bit. Nice to meet and ride with you two. Never got around to hooking up with Joel (singletrack) for a ride. Met up with, but didn't ride with a couple other Front Rangers that went over. I was looking for more pedaling vs. shuttle kinda riding.
A bunch of garlic, sesame oil, pepper, chicken, and spinach in a pot can be a wonderfully tatsy and simple to make meal. Alternating between beer, water, and hot chocolate sounds weird, but actually tastes pretty good. Hey, I may be camping, but that doesn't mean I'm skimping on the food, even if it's cooked at camp.
Kokopelli/Mary's loop stuff one day, managing to hit two laps of Horsethief, and doing Moore Fun both directions. Makes it tough to loop it the way I like, but whatever.
One morning out at some ribbon area stuff, with the afternoon out at 18 Rd. Man, Kevin, you make a niiiiiiice trail. First time hitting Holy Cross. Verrrrrrry nice.
One more day out at the Kokopelli trails, and another longer day at some Junction area stuff, and It was time to head home.
Then spend the last week in San Francisco with the girlfriend, and just got home yesterday. Sucked in a lot of fine Italian, Asian, and Greek food. Alot of good cappucino and various Italian pastry. MMMMmmm, I feel fat and slow now; time to ride more!
