    And yet another brain fart...

...from the feeble mind of fp.

After searching for the smallest hole ever in a tube this morning- dunking it time after time in a dishpan full of water, it hit me. Why not attach a cannister that adds a scent to the air from floor pumps (could be hand pumps, too, I guess). When you get a leak, just use your nose to find the hole (insert off-colour joke here), and whomp, there it is!

Helps especially for those idjits who can't hear.

better yet you could use propane or natural gas ...so if you cant smell it ..you could just hold a match to it!

why not use a canister that adds a fine powerder to the tube. so that it will make a visible stream coming out of the hole that is in the tube.
Brian <---- that would be me.

Just had nasty, ugly and really evil thought involving a tube, scented air and a can of beans...

I'm putting the spare tube in my bag from now on. I want NOTHING to do with smelly gas leaks.

But punctuation marks were free last time I checked.

If I use $.2 patch to repair a $6 tube, and it takes me three minutes extra, my hourly pay is $116 - tax free.

If you don't like climbing, then my rides are three times more fun than yours.
