My FFTF experience: No actual Fruita content.

I couldn't go.... but while you all were having great time on the awesome trails at Fruita I had to settle for a few flowers, some rain, and some pain in the same old boring haunts. Dead horse loop in Cottonwood Valley near LV Friday... got chased by a rain storm. Saw some purdy flowers. Bootleg Saturday morning.... got chased by Mattbikeboy... and a freaky weird spider.

I wrote enough words in my previous ride report post to last for awhile so I'll just post the images this time.

    More flowers and junk

Climbing the switchbacks to badger pass then on up to Techno. Lots of wildflowers and cactus blossoms. The rain let up so I could stop and smell the roses.

    Saturday at Bootleg

Mattbikeboy agreed to meet up with my at my mandatory early start time (6:00am) to do a sweet desert loop out at Bootleg. Up ParNone to Mother over the saddle on Ernie's epic, around the Caldera, up Boy scout, down Skyline, down west leg, to Mother, then bombed back down Par None to the cars. Weeeeeeee. No snakes, but one freaky spider. See Matt's post for details on the mr spidee. Saturday in Bootleg

Here's a few images. Thanks for stopping by. It's not fruita but it's all I got.

Hey nice shots krob! I love the look of the storm clouds coming over the mountains. Last week I was out there for a ride and of course the only place it was raining was up against the base of the mountains. I got wet a bit but there was no lightning so it was almost enjoyable. There were a few downpours where I put my rain jacket on but other than that it was nice

"Im just going to explore a little bit..."

Do I need a pass to ride this trail?

Thanks Shawn. Yeah, I got rained on from the top of the escalator down to the overlook then back up Bonnie and Clyde to the top of Red Valley, then it quit. I was glad there was no lightening this day either. I was a bit worried about getting drenched but it never amounted to much.
