Great thread. I love mushrooms, too. Here are a couple from a trip to Vancouver. The first two look like Fly Agarics. I have no idea what the third shroom is, but it sure looked interesting. I have a great shot somewhere of an Amanita Virosa that I found in Maine... I will post that later.
hahaha I live in BC...that third one is the infamous magic mushroom lol thats the one that gets you higher then a kite

Well it sure looks like it could get a person high...or at least upchucking. The first two, however, those will get you twisted. Somebody apparently took a nibble...

I'm not saying it won't get you high, but it definitely doesn't look like psilocybe cubensis (magic mushrooms). Be careful with that ****... even magic mushrooms. I have an awesome case of depersonalization disorder due to eating a quarter of potent cubensis.
No clue what it is. The ride to get to it is pretty killer though... not because of the technical terrain (its gravel roads) but more the multiple and not rolling 17% hills.

Very cool pictures, but eating any wild mushrooms as delicacy or to get high is imo very dangerous. Read about too many people dying every year because they mis-identified some mushrooms.
I think I got you all beat on size. Taken with my "fabulous" camera phone. Coming up over a boulder I saw this "thing" next to a tree and 1st thought was that of a skull. Lucky it wasn't as I would have shrieked like a little school girl.
As you can see, someone else got to it before me and parts were broken already. A bit bigger than a basketball!
Tempting to try a get a taste but I wanted to be able to go home that day. Soft like a marshmallow and cold and slimy with a latex like outer skin.
