    More Commando Run pics.

Ok. Yeah, not nearly as nice as Anthony's pics or writeup. Meh. Oh well.

I've only done this ride twice now, but it's a keeper. A nice one to hit once a year at least, I figure.

    Log hopping.

And a horribly ugly place to take a break/regroup.

Last few. The good stuff by the creekside. More tight/twisty/techy than the fast meadow stuff. Fun!

NuMexJoe hitting a nice techy and tight switchback.

DWF Jr. Yes, he made the whole length, no, he didn't land on me.

Godzilla on some tight, but not twisty.

Did you gang do the ride according to the Latitude 40 Degrees directions? It doesn't look like you ended in Vail like the L40D map suggests.

Once past the bowls of Vail, you drop into two-elk creek which takes riders to Minturn. Vail is a grind back up the road from there. One can take a non-two-elk route and wind up in Vail but I yet to know someone who has done that version--two-elk is just too good!

Amazing scenery and photos. What kind of camera did you use to take them?

    are you high? just kidding......

i think my pics tend to suck, especially when you compare to those of lidarman and brianc.

it's an HP 735. middle of the road, nothing fancy cam. i however, could use some severe improvements in my photo taking techniques.
