    Love the forum and biking.

I love the forum and even though I don't have a great bike( had a gift card to ***** so I bought a Nishiki Wasatch cant beat a free bike) I love to ride and doing a bit of small upgrading. The forum has helped me choose parts and reinstate my passion I had when I was in the service back in 2001 and also when I was a kid.

I am sure a lot of people would say my bike sucks and not to waste money on it, but frame feels solid and it works till I get back in shape and can afford the giant I really want. Just wanted to say thanks to the forum and please dont look down on me too much because I am an out of shape guy with a cheap bike trying to get back into shape. I look forward to learning more. BTW my first real bike was a Giant AC2 I had while I was in the service after the mongoose xr450 sparked my intrest. That bike is long gone as the x wife got rid of it while I was deployed.

    Thanks
    Jeremy Chef7734

The only bad bike is the one you don't ride Enjoy the trails with what you've got. Thanks for your service!
I hope you have a big trunk... cause I'm gonna put my bike in it!

I don't look down on you at all as I know exactly how hard it is to take those steps.

For some people, staying in shape is easy but for some of us, it takes work.

Glad that you've decided to get after it. I should (more). I've an awesome bike but outside of a weekend days or off days (and then I have to be not feeling lazy) I don't get out much. I'm a step above poser level. Oh God..lol

    Seriously enjoy---riding's awesome !

Welcome back. Few on here will give you a hard time for riding a "budget" bike. As long as you are riding and having fun that's what its all about.

I started on a Giant AC. Its still being passed around in the family.

    Just keep riding............................

Here is a pic of my current bike. I am wanting to change the fork and shock, cables, and maybe the brakes, and it should be good to go till i can get the Giant.
