From Lake Garda we headed up to the dolomites, every year they have a event called the Sella Ronda Bike day where they close all the roads to everyone but bikes over 4 mountain pass's so we rented a couple of road bikes and did the ride - please excuse the road bike content
The climbs were pretty tough with no granny gear , and I almost crashed a few times on the fast descents with the odd back to front brakes on the rental bike, but the ride was great fun
The Hotel we stayed at the Sport Hotel Panorama in Corvara laid on some Bike tours for its guests so the following day I went for a short ride with them
The only problem with the tour was there wasnt enough singletrack we slogged miles up a dirt road, and then just went straight down another dirt road !!, I was told that this was what the German guest's preferred to do, but our guide after another stiff climb then took us off down some nice rooty techy singletrack through the trees (the Germans on the ride didnt like this !!)
In the afternoon me and Clare then went a did a Via Ferrata - which is rock climbing but with fixed protection in the form of cables, stemples and ladders -so even non climbers like our selves can get up high
