comox valley currently, but i grew up in coombs. So QB was always close, but i also go to enjoy the hammerfest trails.
Vancouver island has so many great riding spots, although after a bit of summer riding top bridge needs a little TLC.
Its too bad QB is getting logged, i am going to try and get out there with the wife for one more ride. hopefully there will be a little snow on the ground.

Small world. I lived in Whiskey Creek for 18 years.
I'm in southern Ontario now but I'm heading back out in January. Hopefully there are still some trails left at QBMS. They start logging in December.
I got permission to fix Top Bridge a few years ago, maybe I can get it again.
I have a device that can access the total knowledge of man. I use it to look at pictures of cats and argue with strangers.
Well if you want to spear head a top bridge trail weekend send me a message, saturdays are almost always a write off but i can put my back into a solid sunday of trail work.
The main trail has just gotten over grown and the dividing foliage has gotten thin and trampled so its easy to get off course. All the free ride elements are rotted and falling apart, i think someone has been doing a bit of upkeep on tower of power. The signage isnt too bad, some need reposting. The main challenge is just cleaning up some of the cross overs and blocking off some shortcuts to keep on the main flow. But top bridge is what 20 years old in some parts?, its just begging for some newer features and a change in direction. It still has some really great fast tight sections, short hard climbs with quick descents. Over all its a great area and there are alot of flavor in s fairly small area, i just think trail sustainability wanst a big part of building when most of the trails was cut.
anyways, maybe we will see you in the spring. Be great to get some hands out there improving a classic.
