How to properly fix your headset.....

Here is a great example of making the best of a situation.

My buddy and I were gettin ready to ride when he noticed his headset was a little loose. Well, he forgot to unbolt the top cap (which was plastic), and stripped it clean. So, we were kinda stuck since we didn't want him to ride on his loose headset. Well, he got smart, and we took some rachet straps, hooked them to the fork crowns, and wrapped them around the handlebar.

Then we loosened the stem, and tightened down the rachet straps until the headset was tight enough, and then re-tightened the stem. After that we took the straps off, and we had the bike all ready to ride. It held for the entire ride until we got home, then we got a new cap and did a proper fit.
