Love the un-cut ride, wish I could hear the crunch of those big tires then I'd feel like I was there.
    Thanks Shiggy.

    Thanks Shiggy.

Too much wind noise and rattling, Jolly. The camera mics are pretty useless.

Nice video, Shiggy. That trail looks really flowy and fun.

To piggyback on what Jaybo asked, when did you leave OR? I saw you changed your location a couple of months back to WA. Going from 9% to 0% state income tax must be nice, eh?

We built this trail two years ago. Has settled in well.

Back in Wenatchee for good. PDX is not my kind of place.

Looks like a great trail. So cool to see the fresh green growth right on the edge of the burn, Mother Nature rebooting. Thanks for posting.

Major props to you and the other builders. Way to make it happen.

Good for you. Life is too short to be living in the wrong place. It looks like you're in a awesome spot for MTB riding now.

Portland is a very strange place and total crap for mountain biking. We are considering a move to Wenatchee eventually. Bend is sweet but it would be easier to relocate to Wenatchee because of our jobs. Good and close riding up there? I don't want to drive for an hour to find riding. Besides, the climate and smallness of that area look sweet...if you can make a living up there.

Trails start at the western city limits. I am on the east side of East Wenatchee and it is a 6-7 mile ride to the trailhead. Homestead is ~2.2 miles of more than 10 miles of trail from that trailhead.

Many, many trails within a 30-40min drive. Adventure Maps has one for the greater Wenatchee area.

And if you like to ski, Mission Ridge is 12 miles from downtown.

As someone who's building trails now, great work. Oh do I know the work that must have gone into making and shaping that. Had to pause the vid a couple times at the begging to check you weren't trying to lay down a tease and were not in fact running a Knard :D

Thanks for mentioning this. I'm planning my annual trip to Bend next summer and was thinking about throwing in some other places to hit either before or after Bend. I'll have to see if I can fit in some time at Wenatchee as a possibility.

I would be happy to show you the trails. Be aware that Bend is 330 miles south of Wenatchee. Rossland, BC (one of my favorite places to ride) is 100 miles closer for me.

Thanks for the offer - I'll keep that in mind as the time gets closer.

It's 1,400 miles for me to get to Bend (coming from AZ) so another 330 is practically next door.

I hear ya. PDX is a strange place. Been trying to figure it out for 9 years now.
I've heard good things about the trails up in Wenatchee.
Who's gonna do video at next year's 5k? We'll be stuck with just pictures, I suppose.

Lots of people shot vid at the 5K, and I may be there next year.

I could transfer up there with my job. I'm checking it out. I like Bend but being a State worker in Washington it would be easier to go to Wenatchee. Is it a nice town?

    Any cyclocross up there
