    Green

Enjoy it while it lasts, California riders!

This is WTB's Mark Weir, who switched from downhill and singlespeed to pro XC this year. He already started kicking ass and stomping big names at the NORBA opening, In Waco.

Is this pic from Waco, or his training ride in his 'hood?

very nice shot John. Did you (or Mark) plan the green jersey??? It works so well with the total green effect. wierd thing though is first I see the rider, then I'm drawn to the trail through the trees in the background. That roll off and the angled trees is so inviting.

    Thanks for sharing.

18 more days 'till I'm in the GREEN!

. . . Maybe it is the super-reflective powers of the sheen spando race suit by WTB. Or, maybe the power of suggestion, since you called the shot Green. But, looks green to me too, amigo, and my monitor is calibrated within a mil spec tolerance of MTBR specs. Really, really nice shot though . . . fluid like, and makes me want to ride. Not too dark, yet not over lighted with a flash

    Proof

Ok, then. Here's the proof. Plus, this photo will allow you to enjoy Mark's close-fitting lycra much better.

That's likely because there is so much green, the grey takes on the color in your mind. It's and illusion and is why for example some peoples eyes stand out more vividly when they wear clothes that accent them.

    It really is green

I think Photo-John is looking at his original high-res picture on his monitor. To get beyond the subjective stuff I saved the picture and using the eye dropper of Lview I took a sample of color from the "W" of the shirt and let the color (unchanged) fill onto a new image. Tell me this color is grey. His helmet also has a lot of green around the brim, likely a function of JPEG compression, not reflection.

Haha, wow John, you have really started something with your ambiguous color identifying hijinks.
